In 2014, we analyzed the technological situation of Citicinemas and prioritized redesigning the website and implementing support for mobile devices. Additionally, we developed a basic application for iOS and Android.

These actions allowed us to capture an early share of the rapidly growing mobile market, significantly improving accessibility and user experience.

In 2015, we focused on improving the overall customer experience by adding real-time schedules for all showings, which were managed instantly by the managers of each complex. 

We also incorporated the ability to purchase tickets 100% online and developed a system that allowed users to select their seats during the purchase process. 

To support these improvements, we developed a robust Backoffice system that allowed for web content management and connected administrative information with Citicinemas' existing systems. 

These innovations solidified Citicinemas as an industry leader, offering customers a modern and efficient experience both online and at their cinema complexes.

In 2018, to reduce operational costs and improve transaction stability, we migrated the payment gateway to a new provider. This transition also allowed us greater control and fraud detection.

Maxilana is a renowned pawnshop and personal loans company with 74 branches in six key cities in Mexico: Culiacán, Mazatlán, Hermosillo, Mexicali, Tijuana, and Guadalajara. They offer reliable product auction services and financial solutions to their customers.

Maxilana had a web page that had all the information of its inventories by branch. However, finding the products was difficult. Navigating and finding the actions the user wanted to find was difficult. These factors limited the digital growth of the company.

The main idea of this project was to maximize the existing infrastructure and enhance its presence across multiple channels. How could Maxilana implement an effective omnichannel experience that integrated its 74 branches and provided a consistent and satisfying user experience? How could they make the extensive inventory of products from all their branches accessible to the general public, overcoming navigation and search challenges?

After carefully analyzing each content and organizing exercises, we decided to group them into logical categories: Company, Services, Branches, Legal, and Resources.

We created an innovative experience that combines direct sales inventories both online and in-store, offering a unique platform for used auction items. However, not all products are suitable for online sale, so we developed a solution that shows users the products available locally, complemented by those that can be sold online, providing a complete and convenient shopping experience.

In order to provide a personalized user experience, we designed a location selection feature that allows users to choose their city and access products available in their area. Additionally, we implemented a filter in the menu that separates inventories by city, showing products available for shipping or in-store pickup. By default, inventories are displayed combined, but with the filter, users can see the products available in their specific location.

Additionally, when applying for a loan, users have the option to receive a call from an advisor or send a direct message via WhatsApp, based on their preference. This interactive tool not only attracts potential clients but also provides them with a personalized and convenient service experience.

After analyzing the challenges of the previous site, we discovered that Maxilana had a solid information infrastructure. This allowed us to propose innovative solutions that increase the chances of success. We improved accessibility, added calls to action for WhatsApp communication, and created an intuitive shopping experience for exclusive in-store inventory, including maps on product pages. We simplified online payments and used cutting-edge technologies like Next JS to provide a smooth and fast experience. We are confident that this project will be a turning point for Maxilana, positioning them as one of the best pawn shops in Mexico.

Following the initial specifications, we developed a set of applications for **iOS and Android**, leveraging the native functions of both systems. We created a robust directory with a blacklist and a whitelist for calls, allowing users to decide with whom they wish to communicate. 

Additionally, we developed an administrative platform that enables managers to control numbers reported for manual review and maintain a detailed record of user growth and various metrics. All of this is interconnected through a central API, which manages communication between the applications, stores and retrieves data, and notifies users when necessary.

- Standardizing the visual proposal to cohesively present the information.

- Developing a usable prototype with realistic data.

We proposed a calendar design that helps users reduce the uncertainty of knowing the cost of a flight when selecting departure and return dates. At a glance, we managed to convey the dates with available flights and their lowest prices. On the same screen, we provided clarity in date selection using colors and contrasts for outbound and return flights, which would be present from this step onward.

One of the most important screens is the selection of flight schedules and packages, the main challenge was to allow the user to explore in a clear way and on a single screen a large amount of information related to flight results, with their dates and details.

To achieve this, we defined the arrangement of elements that the layout would have to show all the information in a clear and convenient way for the user.

1. The flight results would be arranged from top to bottom, showing outbound flights first and return flights second, neatly divided.
1. We show at first glance the most relevant information for each flight, adding actions to see more details.
1. We designed package and pricing information to navigate horizontally, giving context to which flight is explored and the features of each package.

This way we managed to make a very condensed screen of information understandable and meaningful to the user.

What did we do?

- We participated in account management for the company’s nomenclature and corporate image design;
- We recorded their credentials in order to publish the App on Google Play and the App Store and made a proposal for a suitable technology stack to use for the development of the App;
- We developed the set of software needed to expedite early release;
- We carried out an application deployment in a test environment and a final one for production;
- We took care of quality control, testing and applying of continuous improvements;
- Finally, we took care of launching the App on the respective digital stores.
